Vancity Vice Flag Football
Vancity Vice is a flag football team, or rather, a sports family that loves to compete, travel, and win some games along the way. Based out of Vancouver B.C., our captains started the team in 2023 with a roster that represents top-tier athletes from our diverse communities.
As pioneers of 5-on-5 football in British Columbia, we are committed to taking our local talent to the global stage, where we compete with the best. Our roster includes elite players from the BCAFFL, BCPFA, and Topflight leagues in Vancouver.

Vancity Vice Captians
A huge shoutout to our amazing captains, the visionaries who founded Vancity Vice with the dream of playing 5-on-5 flag football, a version of the game now on the Olympic stage. Without their leadership, our humble Vancouver team wouldn't have had the honor of competing internationally.
Hunter Lake is not just an exceptional quarterback, but also a remarkable leader and friend. His career began with the Westshore Rebels, where he earned the title of BCFC Offensive All-Star and was affectionately known as "Mr. Everything" for his versatile contributions on the field.
Even after winning multiple championships and earning accolades, Hunter remains a humble, supportive leader who continues to inspire those around him.
Today he is based in Vancouver where he has conquered every league while simultaneously coaching kids' and women's football, sharing his passion and expertise to uplift the next generation of players.
As the leader and founder of Vancity Vice, Hunter has only just begun his journey as an international quarterback, with even greater achievements on the horizon.
Baron Yeh is a defensive specialist who began his journey at Vancouver College's football program. Now, Baron is now the defensive captain and founder of Vancity Vice.
While his contributions might not always steal the spotlight, his relentless effort in organizing, intricate planning, and dreaming big is the backbone of the team. Without his unwavering commitment, many opportunities would pass us by.
Still based in Vancouver, Baron lives by the mantra "can't quit." Rather than slowing down over the years, he founded Vancity Vice to fuel his passion for more competition, travel, and football.
His life is a cycle of eat, sleep, and play football, and his drive to improve himself and those around him is infectious. Baron also extends his expertise by running football training sessions and coaches women's flag football, continually inspiring others to strive to be better.
Chantelle Gangoso is the Defensive Captain and founder of the Vancity Vice women's team in Vancouver. She is more than her many athletic accolades, but the glue that connects players, bringing people together through her passion for the game.
Her leadership extends beyond Vancity Vice; she also serves as the Defensive Captain and Recruitment Captain for Bomb Squad 7-on-7 football, where she leverages her networking skills to strengthen the team.
Chantelle also proudly represented BC in our province's first appearance at the Senior Flag Football National Championships in 2022 with Team BC (BC Buds), in 2023 and recently in 2024 (EZ-E), as she celebrates her third year competing for her community.
Christine Westsol is a dynamic athlete with a background in basketball, where she shined in high school and college. On the football field, she's a powerhouse, having served as QB1 and MVP Receiver.
Christine leads the Bombsquad women’s 7-on-7 team to Division A victories and, over the years, has dominated every football league in Vancouver. Her talent hasn't gone unnoticed—she's been recruited to represent Team BC as a starter, known for her clutch performances in tough situations.
Based in Vancouver, Christine is now shaping the next generation, training her kindergarteners and coaching elementary school volleyball. But don’t be fooled by her nurturing side—on or off the field, Christine is a force to be reckoned with, and crossing her might just get you pranked!
Alyssa Dalman’s passion for football ignited when she watched her younger brother play, sparking a desire to join the sport herself.
She began her journey in women's flag football 2013, starting as a wide receiver before moving to halfback and eventually leading her team to compete in the A Division culminating in a league championship.
In addition to her on-field achievements, Alyssa is a dedicated organizer and competitor. She is on the board for TFBC and founded the Northwest Bowl, where she shows her unwavering commitment to empowering female athletes.
Currently, Alyssa is a quarterback for both 7's and 5's teams, where she leads and inspires athletes. Traveling with her football family brings her immense joy, and she takes pride in representing BC and Canada in her football journey.
